Ingersoll Rand Introduces New Centac C-Series Centrifugal Air Compressors

Mumbai, India, March 2010 - Ingersoll Rand, a global leader in compressed air technology, has introduced a new model in the Centac C-series range, the ‘C1000’ centrifugal compressors for enhanced performance and improved productivity. The compressors available in a variety of configurations with a capacity ranging from 4500-7500 cfm (127-212 m3/min) offer the best in technology and productivity. The new C1000 Centrifugal air-compressor offers fresh technology enhancing industry efficiency and with over 50 design improvements, the compressor is well designed for amplifying plant productivity at minimal maintenance.

In line with Ingersoll Rand’s commitment to provide reliable products, the compressors are equipped with a premium modeling software used for creating state-of-the-art aerodynamic components which are precision crafted to deliver optimum performance. The web-enabled controller has an intuitive display providing a comprehensive window ensuring peak performance and predictive maintenance.

Through state of the art aerodynamic design, the C1000 has set a new benchmark in performance. Using test standards defined by ASME PTC-10, the C1000 has been proven to have best-in-class efficiency for any 7500 cfm plant air compressor available today. The C1000’s transverse mounted coolers can be cleaned in place from either side to increase customer productivity. Its unique and innovative design will improve turnaround time for routine maintenance and prevent curtailed production due to extended downtime.
